I started dreaming about creating something that wasn’t just gut-friendly, but exciting—something that made people like me feel included and celebrated.

There I was again, committing to social events held in places that made non-drinkers an afterthought, always surrounded by pretty drinks whilst holding my little Ensure drink, or lemonade. It wasn’t just about the drink itself - while everyone else avoided the awkward conversation about their drink choice and had a range of fun, aesthetic options, I was stuck with whatever non-alcoholic afterthought was available. I knew there had to be a better way.

One day, I dropped the idea for SipTales into my friends’ group chat, and instantly, the messages exploded. Everyone was all-caps hyped, throwing out name ideas, planning aesthetics, and basically manifesting the whole thing into existence. That moment gave me the push I needed—if they believed in this idea so much, why shouldn’t I??

My first event was a mix of excitement and nerves—me, a cart, and a menu I’d obsessed over for weeks. What if no one liked the drinks? But then, people started coming back for second rounds, snapping photos, and hyping it up. There was no road map, just trial and error, late nights, and sticky counters. But seeing people enjoy something I created made it all worth it.
